WOW...What Happened?

I am not sure what happened, but somewhere between my first year of teaching at CHS and now I have gained ... well let's just say that I have gained some massive weight. I know that I used the excuse, "I just had a baby," but I can no longer use that excuse. It is out the window with the countdown of a first birthday in less than two months. So thanks to my husband; who tells me all of the time that we have become two of the laziest most procrastinating people of the face of this earth, Lori Reed; who came up with the brilliant idea that we should all have a weight loss competition at work, and Shannon Goodwin; who made me feel even more sorry about my lack of physical activity by her couch to 5k, I am vowing to myself, my family, and obviously anyone that reads this post that I will lose this unnecessary "baby fat" and maybe one day be back to the person I once was.

It has been a very long time since I created a blog post. I guess once I went back to work, I lost all track of time. Life could not be any more precious if it tried. I enjoy every single second that God has given me with my precious family. Christmas is upon us, and my sweet Sophie is growing so fast. I keep hearing so many stories of people that are being blessed beyond their understanding, and this makes my heart so easy. I wish everyone a fantastic holiday season!

Better and Better

Motherhood gets better and better every day. I love the fact that when I wake up in the morning the first thing I do is check on my daughter. That just doesn't seem real. She is eight weeks now and she smiles A LOT. I love it. She has finally mastered the art of sleeping through the night. Love it. I wonder every single day what the next day will bring. I couldn't be happier.

First Wal Mart Trip

We took our first Wal Mart trip today. A little scary being new parents. I am so scared of germs. So far all went well. Daddy got to give Sophie a bottle because Mommy is pumping and suplementing formula now. That seems to be going well. She doesn't seem to be having any trouble. Kind of hurtful to know that I went through the pains of breastfeeding and she could care less where it comes from just as long as she is eating.

Happy Being Mom!

I am so excited that I have been blessed with a sweet baby girl to raise. I couldn't ask for a better life. I am enjoying being at home for week three of my daughter's life. I love teaching, but I don't look forward to having to be away from Sophie. Life is good and I thank God every day for the blessings in my life.
